Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation, to be precise & technically referred as to augmentation mammoplasty that is a procedure undertaken by women due to various reasons. The healing of breast is desirable for women who, for personal or any reasons, feel their breasts are too small or wish to get greater proportion when the breasts are disproportionate in size or shape. This is an aesthetic surgical procedure to enhance the size and shape of a woman's breast by placing in an artificial implant behind the breast. The need of this surgery often occurs in those women who have lost their volume of breast due to weight loss or pregnancy. The treatment of this cosmetic surgery is implied when the breasts have lost firmness or have become saggy. Many women come in under impression & they often feel lack of confidence due to this kind of physic.

This augmentation is successfully done by surgically placing a saline or silicone gel-filled implant in each breast to push the breast tissue forward. The implant shell is a solid silicone rubber approved my medical association. The surgeon helps to determine the best solution based on your anatomy, your body type and your desired result. Surgeon makes an incision either in the pleat under the breast or around the areola (nipple). There are many implant manufacturers who often release new sizes or textures for augmentation mammoplasty and surgeon implants it as per your desire. A general anesthetic is used before an incision is made either around the areola, in the armpit or at the base of the breast where the implant is inserted for the comfortable of patient & safe surgery.

In recent trend, most patients are happy with the results of their breast augmentation surgery; however dissatisfaction occurs in small number of women due to, Wrinkling, asymmetry, shifting, incorrect size, unanticipated shape, implant palpability, or scar deformity.

Surgery takes about 2 - 3 hours. Patients are expected to return to work within a few days after the breast augmentation surgery. Burning sensation can be felt in the first 2 weeks after the surgery, but this will become paler, along with any bruising. It is advised to patient to consult with their surgeon about when a certain level of exercise is done.
