Dentures

In the sector of cosmetic dentistry, dentures are a surgical procedure and restorative solution for missing or lost teeth. Dentures are artificial teeth created to replace lost teeth, which are supported by surrounding soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity. The complete denture that is full-mouth false teeth is applied when a patient has no teeth left either on the mandibular arch, the maxillary arch, or both. In this case patient becomes entirely edentulous (without teeth) either due to unproductive oral hygiene or trauma, whereas if only a few teeth need replacing then a partial denture is performed. The missing of tooth is due to periodontal disease, tooth decay, or traumatic injury. Replacement of missing teeth is quite necessary otherwise it may shift in remaining teeth that may create chewing problem and may cause of sagging facial appearance.
Initially dentist thoroughly examines patient's mouth for suitability for dentures. General anesthesia is performed at the surrounding area of dentures surgery. Dentist takes impression (mould) of patient's gums that is used as a model to fabricate dentures to fit the contours of the mouth exactly. At last the prepared dentures designed by dental technician are placed at the required place.
The procedure is not more complex. Curative process may cover in several months for your bone and tissue to stabilize after tooth removals. Patients get dramatic effect on improving the dental strength, smile that ultimately increases their quality of life.
